Getting started in fitness is hard, especially when you have little to no idea what you’re doing. Fitness is a very simple word that carries tons of weight. There is so much involved in fitness that to a beginner seems completely overwhelming. It’s not just going to the gym or eating healthy. Fitness means a complete disruption to your routine, a change in lifestyle & habits. It’s not just going to the gym, buying fat free snacks at the grocery store, and cutting down on junk food. There’s so many aspect of your life you may need to adjust or change, some more than others. It’s extremely overwhelming in some areas. Some people may be able to just look at everything then make the changes, but even then it’s still a path of trial and error. Especially in an age where our schedules are busier than ever, convient food is generally bad, and some days just feel impossible. But if you’re interested in getting started in fitness, or have fell off and are trying to start again, I made this blog for you.
I’ve tried and failed so many times before, but eventually was able to fully take the plunge and maintain a consistent schedule. I’ve hit some road bumps, but am bouncing back. Through this blog I’m going to tell my story, everything. I do this in hopes my experiences will help you find your own way to your fitness goals.
Because I want this blog to benefit as much people as possible, I’m going to lay out what you can expect to see. I guarantee you I will alternate between long and short posts, for those of you who just need quick tips, reads, or just simply don’t have much time. I most likely won’t do anything pure technical (weight lifting form, etc) but I will provide resources when they come up on topic. I encourage everyone to comment, questions, comments, or even your personal story. I’ll answer all of them. I’d love to be part of your fitness journey.
My first post will be simply an introduction to me, so you can understand my attitude and journey so far. Everyone is different and I want to help everyone across all backgrounds with different confidence levels and comfortability with fitness. I feel if you can understand my background then you can see why certain tips won’t seem to work for you. I’d love to help you work out a variation that works for you.
I plan to post at least once a day, but likely will whenever I learn something or think of something to post.
I hope you find this blog useful, or at least entertaining.
